Perancangan Gitar Elektrik Terinspirasi dari Album Sob Rock oleh John Mayer

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perancangan gitar elektrik yang terinspirasi dari fenomena retro revivalism pada album Sob Rock oleh John Mayer. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah rancangan gitar elektrik berdasarkan unsur visual yang terdapat pada album Sob Rock. Penelitian ini menerapkan metodologi Double Diamond sebagai kerangka kerja yang digunakan untuk menemukan dan mendefinisikan unsur visual yang terkandung dalam album Sob Rock, lalu menerapkannya pada proses perancangan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan sebuah solusi desain. Dalam konteks ini, disamping fungsinya, potensi kreatifitas dan estetika tertentu berdasarkan sebuah album populer turut digali untuk menghasilkan rancangan gitar elektrik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah purwarupa rancangan gitar elektrik yang terinspirasi dari album Sob Rock oleh John Mayer. Produk ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai instrumen musik, tetapi juga sebagai pernyataan seni dalam lanksap musik populer.
